The People's Choice
Shareware Industry Awards
Best Business Application 2004
The Shareware Industry Awards Foundations "People's
Choice Awards" were created in 1996 so software users would have the
opportunity to vote for their favorite shareware and freeware
programs. The voting for these awards is hosted each year by some of
the largest sites on the Internet. In past years, this has included
popular sites like CNET, Simtel, Tucows, and others. Software
authors are also allowed to point to the People's Choice Award
voting site and encourage their users to vote! Voting normally
occurs from May 1st through May 31st each year.
PayWindow
Payroll 2004 was voted as the Best Business
Application for 2004 by the voting in the People's Choice Shareware Industry Awards at the 14th
annual Shareware Industry Conference in Rochester, New York. Paul
Mayer, President of ZPAY Payroll Systems, Inc. proudly accepted the
award and is shown pictured below with Michael (Dr. File Finder)
Callahan, the founder of the Shareware Industry Awards Foundation.

In his acceptance speech as he did
last year when they won the SIC Best Business Application Award, Paul gave a
special thanks to his head of the development team, Kim Han Peck who
was unable to attend the conference but was with him in spirit and
busy back in his office working on new features for PayWindow. Paul
was totally caught off guard as they had no idea that PayWindow had
been nominated and received the votes needed to win from the
thousands of votes received.
The Shareware Industry gathers each
year to learn more about Shareware marketing, exchange ideas and
network with each other. In addition, the week is culminated by the
grand awards banquet where the best of the best is honored.
